What is Fascism Anyway?

Good question. What is fascism? I have been stumped to find an answer that really satisfies me. Of course we refer to the Nazis as fascist and Mussolini's movement as well. I guess there is an ideological component to any definition of fascism. Some folks think of themselves as fascists and try to live by fascist principles in a conscious way and like ideologues everywhere try to enlist others in their cause.

I have often felt some understanding trying to understand the definition of fascism as a merger or interpenetration of big business and big government. By that definition we have fascism in the United States today and especially so if the working class ends up sentenced to bail out our rulers and the economy's owners during the economic collapse of 2008. It's a game owned and operated by big business and big government! Theys the rulers and theys makes the rules!
